The annotated Auto-Portraits in the exhibition use the photobooth as a way of exploring the psychological experience of autoimmune disease, chronic health conditions and invisible illness. Alongside the images, information gathered from participants helps trace experiences of genetic conditions and other forms of chronic health.

For this session, artist Jenny Lewis invites you to reflect on your own experience of living in a body that may not always behave as expected. This might relate to autoimmune disease, a chromosome mutation, depression, cancer, Long Covid, anxiety, or something else entirely. There is no fixed definition of what it means to take part.

You can choose to add your collage to the evolving body of work, or take it home with you. No previous experience is needed, and everyone is welcome to participate.
