This is the latest iteration of artist Jenny Lewis’ Mutinous Bodies project, reflecting on the experience of autoimmune diseases by using photography to uncover what’s often hidden from view. Since January 2025, Lewis has invited people to talk about their lived experience, repurposing the photobooth as a confessional space to confront themselves. She then translated a series of these portraits into photopolymer etchings, playing with time-based work and expanding the language of photography to hold the emotional weight of disrupted lives. A selection of these works are on display across the windows of the AUTOFOTO Studio.
