Wow, thrilled that these works have been shortlisted for the summer exhibition, having been to see the Rose Wylie exhibition this week it feels surreal that my work could hang on the same walls. These curatins both strange and familiar, and very much a self-portraits.

Listening to Mary Lucia Stephenson talk about her abstract architectural paintings this week, and how they are, in fact, self-portraits, feels very resonant. Perhaps that’s all we ever really make, art which somehow captures the self. Looking forward to digging into a podcast she recommended, “Everything is Alive”
