What a thrill to walk into the new acquisitions room at The Walker Art Gallery to see the diptych of me and my daughter taking up space amongst a wonderful array of new work arriving into the permanent collection. I was particularly taken by paintings by Shaquelle Whyte and Louise Giovanelli and a huge kinetic sculpture by Michael Landy. To walk through the beautiful new displays of modern art, rehung this month and find myself in the final room was quite extraordinary. The Walker is an incredible Collection, if you haven’t been i highly recommend a visit to Liverpool. Completely elated to have found a home for this work.
